🕯️ 40 years of Memory, Gratitude and Honour.

📅 The 26th of April 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the accident at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant – the largest technogenic disaster in the history of civil nuclear energy. On this day, we commemorate the tragedy and pay tribute to those who were the first to step up and fight its consequences.

🙏 SE «USIE IZOTOP» bows its head before the courage, self-sacrifice and professionalism of the liquidators. The enterprise’s employees were directly involved in the liquidation of the Chornobyl accident, specifically by working at the site of the disaster, dealing with the aftermath of the explosion and clearing radioactive debris. The enterprise was also involved in overcoming the aftermath of the accident: it supplied equipment and personal protective means, arranged checkpoints and decontamination stations, as well as a service centre was set up at premises of SE «USIE IZOTOP» for the repair of dosimetry equipment and vehicles for enterprises of the Exclusion Zone. Employees of SE «USIE IZOTOP» were also incorporated into the US-605 personnel unit, established on 20th May 1986 for work related to the construction of the Shelter Object over Power Unit 4.

🧑‍🚒 With deep respect, we pay tribute to the employees of SE «USIE IZOTOP» who, from 1986 to 1988, took part in the liquidation of the Chornobyl accident consequences:

🤝 We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the liquidators, industry veterans and the families of those who lived through the Chornobyl disaster.

🇺🇦 We remember. We honour. We are grateful.

🔌 Support ensuring stability during critical times.

As a result of active cooperation and work meetings with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), our enterprise received another shipment of humanitarian aid as part of the international RANET network through the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU).

The assistance included generators and portable power stations ⚡

This equipment significantly enhances our capacities to provide uninterrupted operation of the facilities and staff of SE “USIE IZOTOP” – especially amid long-term power outages.
A reliable power supply is critical for the safe and secure management of radioactive materials.

🤝 We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the IAEA for its continued support and effective partnership, and to the SNRIU – for its active participation and support of such international projects!

Participation of SE “USIE IZOTOP” in the annual meeting of members of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry with diplomatic and trade representatives of foreign embassies in Ukraine

🏛️ Volodymyr Kalachyk participated in the annual meeting of members of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry with diplomatic and trade representatives of foreign embassies in Ukraine, international organizations, business associations, and companies that promote the development of entrepreneurship. The event took place on March 31, 2026, at the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the participation of representatives from the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and other government agencies and institutions.

🤝 The main objective of the event was to showcase the economic potential of the capital’s industrial enterprises, familiarize the diplomatic corps with the capabilities of Ukrainian manufacturers, and facilitate the establishment of direct business contacts to expand international cooperation. Opportunities were organized for B2B meetings and the exchange of informational materials that diplomats can use to prepare proposals for business representatives and the governments of their countries to establish trade and economic relations with Ukraine’s potential partners.

🌍 This event is particularly valuable because embassies often serve as reliable channels of communication and the first point of contact for strengthening existing relationships and establishing new ones with potential partners.

🇺🇦🤝 Enhancing partnership cooperation in the field of radiation security

🇵🇱 📅 On March 20–22, 2026, in Kraków (Republic of Poland), the Ukrainian official delegation held regular project meetings with representatives of the Office of Radiation Security (ORS) of the National Nuclear Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Energy.

👥 The delegation, led by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, included representatives of SE «USIE IZOTOP», headed by Director Volodymyr Kalachyk, as well as representatives of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management, SSE «CERWM» and SSE «Radon Association», and the ETC «Atomenergotraining».

📊 During the meetings, experts from the SE «USIE IZOTOP» presented the results of their participation in and implementation of international projects initiated and supported by foreign partners, aimed at preventing and eliminating threats related to the security of radioactive sources in Ukraine.

💡 The parties devoted particular attention to discussing new project initiatives, as well as opportunities for the company’s experts to participate in international training courses and seminars in the coming reporting period.

🇺🇸 The American partners presented key priorities for future cooperation and expressed their intention to continue supporting our organisation in the field of management of ionising radiation sources with the purpose of strengthening radiological security in Ukraine.

🙏 We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our U.S. partners for their consistent support and productive cooperation!

SE “USIE IZOTOP” as part of the Ukrainian delegation at the 52nd annual Waste Management Symposia 2026 (WM2026)

👩‍⚖️ Deputy Director for Commercial Issues Oksana Korol represented the SE “USIE IZOTOP” as part of the Ukrainian delegation at the 52nd annual Waste Management Symposia 2026 (WM2026), held on March 8-12 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
Together with colleagues from the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine and the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety, she presented the experience of our state at this leading global platform.

📚 Our participation in WM2026 became possible thanks to many years of fruitful cooperation and support from the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority. We sincerely thank our Norwegian partners for their consistent assistance to Ukraine in strengthening radiation safety and security.

Today, the voice of Ukraine is critically important. We are sharing unique practical experience in:
🔹 the management of disused sources of ionizing radiation.
🔹 ensuring radiation safety and security of sources of ionizing radiation under conditions of armed conflict.

The Ukrainian cases are evidence of the resilience of our system and of the ability of specialists to maintain the highest standards of control even under the most difficult circumstances. Together with international partners, we are shaping a safe future.
We continue working for the safety of Ukraine and the world! 🇺🇦

🇦🇹 🇺🇦 Working meeting with IAEA in Vienna.

🤝 On 6 March 2026, at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria, a working meeting was held between the Director of SE «USIE IZOTOP» Volodymyr Kalachyk and representatives of the Agency’s relevant departments and the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security, headed by IAEA Deputy Director General -Karine Herviou.

🌍 During the constructive dialogue, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation between SE “USIE IZOTOP” and IAEA, in particular within the international Response and Assistance Network (RANET).
