🌍 International Exchange of Experience to Enhance the Security of Radioactive Material Transportation

🤝 At the invitation of the National Nuclear Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Energy and Romania’s National Commission for Nuclear Activities Control (CNCAN), experts from the SE “USIE IZOTOP” participated in an international technical exchange on the inspection of the security of radioactive material transportation, which took place on July 13–16, 2026, in Bucharest, Romania.

👥 The event brought together representatives from the SE “USIE IZOTOP,” the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorates of Ukraine and Romania, enterprises of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management, the U.S. Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), as well as other international subject experts to exchange experience, raise awareness, and discuss modern approaches to inspecting the security during the transportation of radioactive materials.

📋 The participants reviewed international practices and methodologies for planning and conducting inspections, assessing compliance with requirements, and documenting results, and they also worked through practical scenarios simulating real-life situations during the transportation of radioactive materials.

💫 Official Participation in the G7 Global Partnership International Meeting

✅ Oksana Korol, Deputy Director of the SE “USIE IZOTOP” took part as a member of the Ukrainian delegation in a meeting of the Group on Information Exchange Regarding Technical Assistance to Ukraine, which operates within the framework of the “Group of Seven” (G7) countries’ initiative “Global Partnership Against the Proliferation of Weapons and Materials of Mass Destruction” which took place in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.

🤝 The event has become an important international platform for coordinating the efforts of partner countries, international organizations, and Ukrainian institutions in implementing technical assistance programs aimed at strengthening national and global safety, as well as enhancing Ukraine’s capabilities in the field of nuclear and radiation safety.

🔹 During the meeting, participants discussed the current status of international technical assistance projects, identified perspective areas for cooperation, and outlined further steps to support Ukrainian institutions and enterprises that perform critical state functions in the field of safety and civil protection.

🔹 The participation of the SE “USIE IZOTOP” facilitated the presentation of the company’s current projects, fostered professional dialogue with international partners, and deepened cooperation within the framework of joint programs and initiatives. Participation of the SE “USIE ISOTOP” team in “WIN EURASIA 2026”

🌍 The Director of the Enterprise, Volodymyr Kalachyk, together with the head of the nuclide technologies department, Volodymyr Kukharev, participated in the work of the Ukrainian delegation during its visit to “WIN EURASIA 2026” – one of the largest international industrial exhibitions in the Eurasian region, held June 10–15, 2026, in Istanbul (Turkey).

🏭 The platform brought together industry representatives, manufacturers of high-tech equipment, and experts in automation and the digital transformation of manufacturing from around the world.

🤝 During the event, a series of working meetings and negotiations were held regarding the development of international partnerships, the implementation of modern technological solutions, and the expansion of opportunities for cooperation with foreign companies, particularly those from Turkey.

⚙️ The latest developments in the fields of industrial automation, robotics, digital manufacturing (Industry 4.0), energy solutions, and engineering technologies drew particular interest.

🚀 Participation in such events is an important tool for integrating Ukrainian companies into global production and technology chains, helps bring in best practices, and opens up new opportunities for implementing joint international projects.

👨‍🔬 Oleksandr Zhurba, Lead Engineer of the International Cooperation Department at SE “USIE IZOTOP”, actively participated in the Youth Nuclear Forum, which took place from June 4 to 7 in Varash. The event brought together young professionals and experts in the nuclear industry to exchange knowledge and experience and discuss current challenges and prospects for the development of nuclear energy in Ukraine and around the world.

💡 The team, which included Oleksandr Zhurba, emerged victorious in the final round of the competition. This outstanding result was achieved thanks to the successful presentation of a case study titled “Nuclear AI: Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twins as Tools for Optimizing the Operation and Safety of Nuclear Power Plants,” which demonstrated a modern approach to the implementation of digital technologies in the nuclear energy sector.

🔐 Ruslan Sielin, a specialist at SE “USIE IZOTOP,” participated in the WINS Cybersecurity Training Course for the Nuclear Industry, which took place on May 18–22, 2026, in Vienna, Austria.

🌍 The purpose of the training course was to provide a comprehensive overview of cybersecurity issues in the nuclear sector, including current challenges, professional terminology, and relevant international practices and standards in the field of critical infrastructure protection.

💻 The course curriculum was based on the learning objectives of the WINS Academy’s “Cybersecurity in the Nuclear Industry” module and brought together experts from various countries to share experiences and enhance their professional competencies.

🏛️ The training took place at the AIT – Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH, one of Europe’s leading scientific research centers

🏅 SE “USIE ISOTOP” received a Letter of Appreciation from the SO “Grigoriev Institute for Medical Radiology and Oncology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” for the informational support and participation in organizing an internationally attended scientific and practical conference “Oncology and Related Disciplines: Integration of Technologies in Diagnosis and Treatment”, which took place on May 14–15, 2026, in Kharkiv.

The conference brought together more than 600 participants and served as an important platform for professional dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the development of scientific and communication cooperation among experts, institutions and organizations.
