EU4SAR project – the European Union’s Programme

📍 The conference dedicated to the official launch of the EU4SAR project – the European Union’s Programme for State Asset Reform in Ukraine – took place at the SE “USIE IZOTOP” on 16th September.
🤝 The event was organized by the Expertise France in partnership with the State Property Fund of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, under financial support from the European Union and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
🌍 The conference was attended by over 50 representatives of government agencies, international organizations (the EU Delegation to Ukraine, EBRD, World Bank, IMF, OECD), embassies of partner countries, as well as business and professional associations.
🎙️ Director of the SE “USIE IZOTOP” Volodymyr Kalachyk participated in the event on behalf of the enterprise.
🗣️ Speakers and panellists included Dariia Marchak (Deputy Minister of Economy and Environment of Ukraine), Dmytro Natalukha (Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine), Katarina Maternová (Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine), Muriel Lacou-Labarthe (French Special Envoy for the Recovery and Reconstruction of Ukraine), Clément Lapointe (Project Manager, Expertise France), Iryna Zharonkina (Key Expert for the EU4SAR Project), Anna Artemenko (Deputy Minister of Economy and Environment of Ukraine), Oleksii Movchan (Member of the Ukrainian Parliament), Benjamin Amara (Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine), Nataliia Boiko (Director General of the GTSOU), Oleh Prokhorenko (Executive Director of the Ukrainian Academy of Corporate Governance), Oleh Radutnyi (lawyer, privatization expert), Yevhenii Baranov (Dragon Capital), and Brice Roquefeuil (French Ambassador to Ukraine).
💬 Participants discussed key areas of corporate governance reform at state-owned enterprises, as well as priorities for accelerating the privatization of SOEs – from operational autonomy and the quality of supervisory boards to legislative changes necessary to bring Ukraine in line with the European standards for the management of state assets.
