Team of SE “USIE IZOTOP”, as part of the official delegation of Ukraine, took part in the quarter project meetings organized by the U.S. Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Radiological Security (ORS), which took place from 24 to 26 August 2024 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Representatives of SE “USIE IZOTOP” presented a report on the implementation of the ongoing projects.

Volodymyr Kalachyk emphasised: “Cooperation with the U.S. Department of Energy is strengthening, which is extremely important for our participation in international projects, especially in the context of martial law in Ukraine. The material and technical base is being improved, and the competence of personnel is being enhanced, which will help in our further work with ionising radiation sources and radioactive materials.

As a result, the parties agreed to continue the substantive cooperation and further meetings.

The Ukrainian delegation, led by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, in addition to the SE “USIE IZOTOP”, also included representatives of the enterprises of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management (SSE “Central Enterprise for Radioactive Waste Management”, SSE “Association “Radon”), the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and ETC “Atomenergotrening”.

SE “USIE IZOTOP” took part in the scientific and practical conference “Current issues of radiation oncology in Ukraine”

The team of SE “USIE IZOTOP” took part in the jubilee scientific and practical conference of the UKRAINIAN COMMUNITY OF RADIATION ONCOLOGIES (UCRO) with international participation “Current issues of radiation oncology in Ukraine” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the UCRO, which was held August 21-22, 2024, in Rivne (Ukraine).

Since the first years of the foundation of the company, SE “USIE IZOTOP” has been a constant co-organizer of annual conferences of radiation oncologists – a unique event where doctors from all over Ukraine have the opportunity to meet to exchange experience, share their achievements and discuss new opportunities and prospects for development in the fight against oncological diseases.

We are sincerely grateful to our colleagues from the NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE (NPO NCI), the PRESIDIUM OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF UKRAINE, STATE ORGANIZATION “GRIGORIEV INSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL RADIOLOGY AND ONCOLOGY OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES OF UKRAINE”, STATE NUCLEAR REGULATORY INSPECTORATE OF UKRAINE, and especially, the president of UKRAINIAN COMMUNITY OF RADIATION ONCOLOGIES, doctor of medical sciences, professor Valentyna IVANKOVA, and the hosts of the conference, the director of MUNICIPAL ENTERPRISE «RIVNE REGIONAL ANTITUMOR CENTER» RIVNE REGIONAL COUNCIL (ME «RRAC») Hryhorii MAKSYMIAK and the medical director Tetiana RUBLOVA.

For more than half a century, SE “USIE IZOTOP” has provided technological support for radiation therapy and continues to work and develop, demonstrating high quality and efficiency of work in response to today’s challenges.
